Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The H2C mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. This complex mission spans all competencies of engineering/science accomplished through a highly integrated organization engineering organization. H2C was identified as "One of America's Safest Companies" in 2020; and was the recipient of the 2021 "Employer of the Year" by the Association of Washington Businesses.
The Design Engineering organization provides in-house design engineering support to Production Operations, Single Shell Tank (SST) Retrievals, Tank Farm Projects and Facilities Maintenance. It is responsible for oversight of design execution and change control and drawing configuration control for the TOC and owns the associated procedures. Design Engineering is also responsible for Procurement Engineering and supports implementation of the Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process.
The Electrical Engineer in the Design Engineering organization will:
Grade 16:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline; and
Two (2) years of related experience
Grade 17:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline; and
Five (5) years of related experience
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Grade 18:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline; and
Seven (7) years of related experience
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $88,200
Hiring Range Maximum: $134,588
