Position Overview:


We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled

Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for designing, wiring, programming, and troubleshooting control systems across a wide range of applications. You’ll work both in our shop and on job sites throughout New England, ensuring every system meets safety, performance, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, build, and test control panels (per UL508A standards preferred).
  • Program and debug PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
  • Install and commission control systems in the field.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in real-time.
  • Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and project managers to deliver turnkey automation solutions.
  • Document control logic, revisions, wiring changes, and job site notes.
  • Maintain high safety standards on every project site.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers when needed.


Qualifications:


  • Associate�s degree or technical training in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in controls design, panel building, or industrial automation.
  • Understanding of HMI, PLCs, VFDs, relays, motor controls, and sensors.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Capable of interpreting and creating electrical schematics using CAD software.
  • Self-motivated with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across MA and NH.


Preferred (Not Required):


  • UL508A panel building experience
