Summary: The role of the Drillers Helper is to be responsible for assisting the Driller


with tooling and operation of the drill rigs.


Job Title: Drillers Helper


Salary: $21-25/HR Based on experience


Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


· Assist with operation of drilling rig, and support equipment effectively.*


· Assists in loading and unloading equipment and tools.*


· Assist on the job site - normal drilling procedures.*


· Mix mud/grout/etc for bore holes, perform all other associated duties depending on scope of work for the specific site.*


· Ensures proper clean up and preventive maintenance of tools and equipment.*


· Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.*


· Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.*


· Drive support vehicles as required.*


· Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times.*


· Assists with proper storage of tools and equipment upon their return to the shop/yard.*


· Provides manager with receipts and/or other documentation from job site.*


· Ensures that all containers holding hazardous or non-hazardous wastes are properly labeled and properly secured either on site or to the vehicle transporting them.*


· Handles all waste manifests and ensures they are properly filled out before transporting any waste.*


· Follows all safety regulations.*


· Willing to travel and stay out of town frequently.


Qualifications:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


· Working knowledge of job site safety.


· Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification.


Education/Experience:


High School diploma or GED equivalent; two to more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Ability:


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Math Ability:


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
