The Donor Relations Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing donor relationships. This position involves responding to donor questions, handling donor service activities, and performing various clerical assignments. The representative ensures a high level of donor satisfaction by addressing concerns, managing membership matters, and promoting fundraising initiatives.
1. Achieve a high level of donor satisfaction and further the Foundation's mission to foster giving to support Iowa PBS.
2. Record any correspondence in donor's record and advise staff of recurring problems or trends.
3. Listen and respond to donor concerns and questions on the phone. Investigate donor complaints.
4. Correspond with donors by mail, email and telephone regarding donations.
5. Fundraising activities:
a. Make outbound calls or send emails to donors (ex. to thank them for their recent gift or address donor needs).
b. Make outbound calls or emails to donors who have stopped donating to encourage a new donation
c. Promote giving as a recurring monthly or annual donor
d. Promote donor benefits such as Iowa PBS Passport, MemberCard, Brit Com Club, Pets Club and Kids Club.
6. Provide technical support to donors regarding Iowa PBS Passport, the PBS online streaming service.
7. Manage thank-you gifts offered to donors:
a. Manage inventory of thank-you gifts
b. Manage weekly fulfillment of thank-you gifts
c. Process returned thank-you gifts
d. Manage online display of thank-you gifts on the Iowa PBS website
e. Assist in promotion of thank-you gifts during on-air fundraising campaigns
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Full time, hourly, regular at will non-exempt employee. Limited remote work is a privilege that may be granted after successful completion of the employee’s 90-day performance review.
