Hybrid ICU/ER Doctor’s Assistant (DA) position. This role offers the unique opportunity to support both our ICU and ER teams, playing a vital part in patient care and client communication. This position is ideal for someone with prior veterinary experience who is looking for a less physically demanding role while still playing a key part in patient care and client communication.ICU DA Duties:
- Provide daily patient updates and communicate treatment plans to clients
- Maintain accurate medical records and prepare discharge instructions
- Assist with hospital discharges under doctor supervision
- Coordinate with ICU technicians and manage lab submissions
- Ensure timely communication with referring veterinarians
- Collaborate with ER doctors on case management and treatment planning
- Take patient histories and prepare estimates
- Facilitate communication between clients, doctors, and technicians
- Assist with medication labeling and discharge instructions
- Help manage hospitalized ER patients and send records to rDVMs
We’re seeking
positive, dependable, and energetic individuals who are passionate about veterinary medicine and teamwork. Previous experience as a veterinary technician is strongly preferred, but not required.Our Layton location is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools, including:

Team members typically work
three 13-hour shifts per week 7 am-8 pm, offering a consistent work-life balance. Due to our 24/7 operations, rotating weekends and holidays are required.
