This position is within the Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group (LSG) business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific reporting to the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) Ward Hill, MA facility. • Direct supervision of employees including recruitment, performance management and training.
  
• Provide opportunities for cross-training and leadership development through mentoring, coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
  
• Develop and empower employees through effective and consistent communication.
  
• Responsible for maintaining acceptable warehouse metrics including (Safety performance, quality assurance, on time shipments and shippable backorder).
  
• Initiate investigations into process failures, product failures, and safety incidents, determining and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Operate a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all EH&S programs and activities.
  
• Maintain a high level of customer service with other departments and provide feedback on any issues, material availability, etc. in a timely manner.
  
• Track and respond to material shortages reported from the manufacturing floor.
  
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall productivity and efficiency within distribution.
  

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
• Bachelor�s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or other related subject area preferred.
  

• 5 years relevant exp with 1-3 years leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing OR successful completion of a Thermo Fisher Leadership Development Program will be accepted in lieu of required experience.
  

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required to effectively manage and motivate a team, build relationships with employees, peers, and management, and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and change.
  
• Must have superb coordination skills to plan, coordinate, and set priorities to facilitate timely execution.
  
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of MRP systems.
  
• Consistent, diligent, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities.
  
• Follows and provides direction accurately and efficiently.
  
• Excellent communication skills.
  
• Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
