Position Summary


TurnPoint Services is seeking a

Director of Electrical Channel (Generators) to architect, operationalize, and scale a center-led strategy for generator sales, lead generation, and performance execution across our national platform of locally operated brands. This role will drive a unified generator growth playbook, build brand engagement, and act as a strategic advisor and coach to local leaders while working directly with OEMs, retail partners, and vendors.


This is a

travel-intensive role (50%+), requiring deep partnership with field leaders, brand GMs, and OEM partners to implement proven best practices, build field capability, and unlock scalable growth.


Key Responsibilities


Channel Strategy & Execution


  • Design and lead a center-led channel strategy focused on generator sales and installation growth across all TurnPoint brands.
  • Partner with OEMs to build scalable, win-win solutions and drive product adoption at the local level.
  • Establish and manage KPIs, success routines, and lead generation programs to improve market penetration and revenue contribution.
  • Codify �what great looks like†through a Business In A Box model for brands to follow-complete with SOPs, sales scripts, pricing frameworks, and performance dashboards.


Field Leadership & Brand Support


  • Travel weekly to support brand execution, provide hands-on coaching, and operationalize generator channel strategies.
  • Actively assess brand maturity and capacity for generator growth based on market potential, labor availability, and sales readiness.
  • Build strong partnerships with GMs, Sales Managers, and Channel Leaders to ensure generator performance is embedded in the broader sales culture.


Training & Team Development


  • Create and manage training programs for generator sales consultants and field technicians, leveraging OEM and vendor partners.
  • Host train-the-trainer events, ride-alongs, and on-site coaching sessions to ensure consistent brand delivery and field capability.
  • Promote knowledge sharing across brands by spotlighting high performers and replicable success models.


OEM/Vendor Relationship Management


  • Serve as the primary liaison with key OEMs and retail generator partners (e.g., Generac, Kohler, Home Depot, etc.).
  • Maximize rebate, co-op, and promotional funding opportunities through collaborative planning and joint marketing.
  • Identify and negotiate exclusive programs or tiered incentives that reward high-performing brands.


Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement


  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reporting tools that provide transparency across the generator sales channel.
  • Drive performance improvement through root-cause analysis, targeted coaching, and monthly performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with shared services (Marketing, TA, Training, Finance) to continuously refine channel strategies and eliminate barriers.


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of experience in electrical, generator, or home services channel sales, preferably in a multi-location, decentralized environment.
  • Proven experience scaling generator programs or retail electrical sales operations.
  • OEM or retail partner experience (e.g., Generac, Kohler, or Home Depot) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building and implementing sales strategies in partnership with field operations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Comfortable traveling 50%+ of the time to engage directly with local brands.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly analytical with a bias for action and outcome-oriented execution.
