The
Director of Nursing (DON) plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. + Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
+ Manage and allocate nursing resources, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment procurement.
+ Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to drive organizational goals and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
+ Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and nursing performance, making necessary improvements.
+ Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
+ Stay updated on advances in nursing practice and technology to facilitate evidence-based care.
+ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to ensure a competent and motivated nursing team.
+ Promote ongoing education and certification for nursing staff to maintain and enhance skills.
+ Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and surveys, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
+ Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information and support.
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and transitions.
