- 8+ years of experience in education administration, faculty development, student affairs, or a field with expertise in education, conflict resolution, counseling, or employee relations.
- Knowledge of the student experience in a clinical learning environment.
- Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, and professionalism policies.
- Masters, MD, PhD, EdD, or equivalent advanced degree in medical education, health sciences, case management, counseling, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of LCME accreditation standards and medical education best practices.
- Experience working in medical school administration or a health care setting.
- Training in mediation, organizational change, or faculty development.
- Experience managing learning environment assessments and reporting.

Management of Mistreatment Concerns* Oversee the intake and management of mistreatment concerns as reported by students.
- Monitor and address reports related to student mistreatment, facilitating the downstream process of mistreatment reporting and ensuring adherence to appropriate follow-up processes.
- Utilize Dartmouth�s anonymous reporting platform for mistreatment reports, ensuring confidentiality and timely response to all reports.
- In partnership with the Chair of the Committee on a Respectful Learning Environment (CRLE), facilitate the convening of meetings to review formal mistreatment reports and support the development of action plans.
- Conduct or facilitate the investigation of complex mistreatment reports that require further gathering of information.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for addressing mistreatment concerns.
- Provide support and resources to individuals affected by mistreatment.
- Serve as a confidential resource and mediator for learning environment concerns, guiding students through mistreatment reporting or referring them to appropriate offices within Geisel, D-H or Dartmouth College as issues arise.
- Maintain confidential records.
- Effectively communicate relevant issues regarding the learning environment to appropriate parties, such as curriculum deans, department chairs, GME, clinical staff leadership, the Dean of Educational Affairs, and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
- Provide monthly reports of issues to the Dean of Educational Affairs, Associate Dean for Student Life, and curriculum deans in a structured format.
Positive Learning Environment and Prevention Activities Development & Implementation* Design and implement programs aimed at promoting a positive learning environment.
- Organize and conduct seminars, workshops, and training sessions for faculty, staff, and students.
- Create faculty skill development initiatives to enhance educator understanding of learning environment concerns and how to address concerns as they arise, supporting the effectiveness of educators in the learning environment.
- Create and distribute teaching modules and resources for educators to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate positive learning environment principles into the curriculum as appropriate.
Policy Development, Data Maintenance, Reporting, and Accreditation Compliance* Maintain and update databases for tracking and reporting on learning environment concerns.
- Work with database development teams to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
- Generate reports and analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other offices and departments to share data and insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations regarding data management and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of school policies that support a positive and respectful learning environment, professionalism in the educational setting and that are aligned with institutional professionalism standards.
- Assess and analyse data to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with accreditation standards related to learning environment and student mistreatment.
- Conduct regular assessments, including surveys and focus groups, to access the learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Student Life to develop processes by which mistreatment data collected from surveys will be shared with students, faculty and staff.
- Ensure alignment with LCME accreditation standards and contribute to institutional accreditation efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
