We serve the greater Dallas Catholic community-and beyond-through programs that equip the faithful, walk with mothers in crisis, heal post-abortive wounds, and build a culture that truly cherishes life.

Position Summary:


The Director of Advancement leads the Catholic Pro-Life Community’s fundraising and communications strategy to ensure long-term sustainability and growth. This individual will serve as a key member of the Executive Team and will oversee a multi-channel advancement plan that supports the CPLC’s mission and new transformational initiatives-including our recent merger with Bloom Pregnancy Help Center and the development of holistic care models for mothers in crisis.


The Director of Advancement will cultivate a culture of generosity by leading strategic efforts in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, donor stewardship, grants, events, and communications. The Director of Advancement must be an exceptional communicator, a relational leader, and a visionary strategist with a deep commitment to Catholic values and the pro-life mission.

Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Strategy


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Advancement strategy aligned with CPLC�s mission and vision.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director and Board on matters of development and public engagement.
  • Oversee the Advancement team, including fundraising, communications, and donor relations staff.


Fundraising & Donor Engagement


  • Build, lead, and manage a portfolio of major donors and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, and Catholic philanthropists.
  • Ensure successful execution of annual campaigns, appeals, and recurring giving programs.
  • Oversee and support the planning of key fundraising events including the Bishop�s Pro-Life Dinner.


Communications & Brand Stewardship


  • Lead communications strategy and brand alignment across platforms (print, digital, social, etc.).
  • Oversee storytelling efforts that inspire support and convey mission impact.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador of the CPLC within the Catholic and pro-life communities.


Grants & Reporting


  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities aligned with ministry goals.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compelling grant proposals and reports.


Team Development & Collaboration


  • Foster a collaborative and mission-driven culture of performance, gratitude, and excellence.
  • Partner with ministry directors to align fundraising strategies with programmatic needs.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support a high-performing Advancement team.

Qualifications:


  • Deep alignment with the teachings of the Catholic Church and full support of the pro-life mission.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in development, advancement, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Proven success in cultivating major donors and securing significant gifts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build authentic relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in donor databases (e.g., Raiser�s Edge, DonorPerfect, etc.).
  • Bachelor�s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
  • Parish involvement and an understanding of the Catholic donor landscape highly valued.
