Willowbrook Post Acute is seeking friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
Dietary Aides to support our residents’ dining experience. We are hiring for Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN (as needed) roles to help keep our kitchen running smoothly and ensure high-quality, nutritious meals are served in a clean and welcoming environment.The Dietary Aide works closely with the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and performs a variety of kitchen and dining-related tasks based on shift activity and resident needs. This position plays a key role in maintaining a sanitary environment while delivering excellent service to our residents.
- Learn and follow established food service routines and safety protocols
- Set up meal trays and assist with meal service
- Strip down and clean returned trays; operate commercial dishwasher
- Check and record water temperature and chlorine concentration at start of shift
- Observe dishwasher performance and report any issues
- Prepare nourishments and snacks as needed
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, refrigerators, and dining areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen and dining floors
- Take out trash and maintain waste areas
- Safely store groceries in an orderly, clean manner
- Assist Cook or Dietary Supervisor as needed
- Participate in onboarding and training of new dietary staff
- Promote cooperation and positive communication with team members across all departments
- Ability to learn kitchen routines and cleaning procedures quickly
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help
- Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting is a plus but not required
- Competitive pay based on experience ($20.63 - $25.63/hr)
