Diesel Technician - Idealease

Job Summary:

As an Idealease Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the uptime and reliability of our customers’ commercial vehicle fleets. You'll be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of trucks and trailers, upholding the high standards of Idealease and our company.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
  
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
  
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
  
• Perform repairs and replacements of components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and resolve vehicle malfunctions.
  
• Complete accurate and timely service reports and documentation.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
  
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technical information and advancements in the commercial vehicle industry.
  
• Potentially assist in road calls and emergency repairs as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• 3 years of proven diesel engine maintenance experience.
  
• Valid Class B CDL license with a clean driving record.
  
• Possess own tools to perform work on all systems on diesel equipment.
  
• Must be able to use a variety of hand held tools and equipment associated with repair work.
  
• Knowledge on A/C system, brake system, emission systems, air systems and diagnostics / trouble shooting of diesel engines.
  
• Computer skills with ability to use diagnostic programs such as EZ-Tech, Cummings Quick Serve, Diamond Logic, etc.
  
• Willingness to maintain required on-line training throughout employment.
