Greets patients, families and visitors entering the Ortho Hospital as a first impression for customers and portrays professionalism in all interactions. Provides support for patients and their families. Verifies registration is complete and directs patient to registration if incomplete. Scans documents and admits patients into EPIC in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. Enters required information into procedure pass and updates throughout the day. Responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence and adheres to PH Standards of Behavior. Responsible and accountable for communication to coworkers, surgeons, other departments, and visitors within the environment. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians. Displays a high degree of independent judgment and self-direction while performing routine duties.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
Customer service experience is essential.
Must demonstrate commitment to excellent service. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
