Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to all health and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient education, and effective communication skills.


Responsibilities


  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Assess and document patient oral health status, including periodontal assessments.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Conduct infection control procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to provide comprehensive care.
  • Review documentation and maintain accurate patient records in the dental office system.
  • Utilize medical imaging technology as needed for diagnostics.


Requirements


  • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices.
  • Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred, with familiarity in pediatrics being a plus.
  • Proficiency in dental assisting tasks is advantageous.
  • Understanding of infection control standards and practices within the dental field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
