Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental practice. As a growing start-up office with a small team, we are happily looking to add another DA to help our two doctors and serve our patients at Smile Bar and Aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have experience in various areas of general dentistry including four handed dentistry for restorative care, crown and bridge, implants, extractions, and veneer cases. We use itero for all restorative and Invisalign cases. Having experience with itero is a plus to move with the flow of the office. We have Dentrix Ascend and Dexis. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.


Duties


  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Take X-rays using nomad as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain an aseptic environment by following proper infection control procedures.
  • Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary tools are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Sterilization of instruments and cleaning rooms.
  • Prepping rooms and trays for next day.
  • Stocking rooms and keeping track of needed supplies


Requirements


  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to General Dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively while adhering to health regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
