FR Conversions is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner to drive accurate forecasting and inventory planning across our vertically integrated manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Production Planning & Inventory, this role is responsible for anticipating customer demand, synchronizing supply chain activities, and ensuring that production resources are aligned to meet business objectives.


This is a critical position that partners cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Logistics to balance demand and capacity while reducing lead times, stockouts, and excess inventory. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in demand planning, exceptional data analysis skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Demand Forecasting & Planning


  • Develop and maintain accurate short- and long-term demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, sales input, and customer orders.
  • Align forecast outputs with production planning and inventory strategies.
  • Refine forecasting models to reflect seasonality, promotional activity, and supply constraints.


Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Partner with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure alignment of forecasts with business needs and manufacturing capacity.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) efforts with data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Communicate forecast changes and trends to stakeholders to support proactive decision-making.


Inventory Management & Optimization


  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing service levels, lead times, and working capital targets.
  • Monitor inventory performance and recommend strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to manage product availability and replenishment.


Data Analysis & Reporting


  • Track and report forecast accuracy, production variance, inventory metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on trend analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Contribute to process automation and demand planning tool enhancements.


Continuous Improvement & Risk Management


  • Identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain; develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Lead or support initiatives that reduce planning cycle times, improve forecast accuracy, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Support lean manufacturing principles through better planning practices and system integration.


Salary & Compensation:


This is a full-time, salaried position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. All salary payments are subject to applicable taxes and withholdings in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:


Education


  • Bachelor�s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


Experience


  • 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.


Technical Skills


  • Proficiency in ERP and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Genius, or equivalent).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards, and trend analysis).
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.


Knowledge & Soft Skills


  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, production processes, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause and impact analysis.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple planning horizons.
