Responsibilities:


  • Safely drive a heavy duty truck and gooseneck, know how to make turns and understand DOT regulations
  • Wear all Required PPE on job sites
  • Picking up parts from equipment yard and various vendor locations throughout the San Antonio/New Braunfels area and delivering to specific job sites.
  • Performing General Maintenance on equipment
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, pulling chains, ratchet strapping, bending, and climbing
  • Loading and unloading construction equipment properly
  • Operate Skid Steers and Mini Excavators to load properly on a trailer
  • Basic knowledge of hand tool operations for various types
  • use GPS to find the best route
  • properly tie down equipment (Chains and Binders, ratchet straps) and various load types down to trailer
  • Follow all required safety rules, policies and guidelines
  • The Utility Runner is expected to conduct a �pre-trip inspection†every morning on his truck and trailer. Ensure the trailer and truck have properly inflated tires, all lights and signals are functioning. Properly inspect all tie down equipment. Ensure all loads are properly bound and there is no unsecured loads.
  • It is expected that the truck assigned will receive the proper preventative maintenance. It is the responsibility of the Utility Runner to keep up with all maintenance on the truck and ensure it gets served as per the manufacture�s recommendation


Requirements:


  • Valid Texas Drivers license, and must meet MVR requirements for clean driving record
  • Previous experience as a construction runner
  • Ability to operate a skid steer and mini excavator
  • Ability to safely drive a truck and trailer setup
  • Ability to properly connect and disconnect trailers
  • Ability to safely and properly secure their load (Chains and binders, ratchet straps)
  • Proficient in route driving and navigation using GPS or maps
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading, bending and climbing
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
