TITLE:Dedicated Building Substitute (Full Time) - Casco Bay HighPortland Public Schools has a Dedicated Building Substitute opening at Casco Bay High School for the 2025-2026 school year. The Dedicated Substitute is onsite daily and supports a range of coverage needs. The Dedicated Substitute plays an essential role in providing continuity and consistency for the students at their assigned school. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
+ Substitute for teachers who are out, fulfilling daily classroom functions, implementing lesson plans, and monitoring and supporting students; at times, the Dedicated Substitute may be assigned to the same classroom for multiple days
+ Preference will be given to candidates who can also fill in other roles as needed, including building reception, test proctoring, working in specialized programs, or supporting hallway coverage; supporting receptionist duties is a major priority.
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

[Preferred] Prior experience working with high school students+ Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization (more info)

+ Full Time, 1.0 FTE
+ Position not guaranteed from year to year
+ Pay = $28.42 / hr (rate increasing for 25-26 school year)
+ Eligible for $500 / month toward a PPS medical benefits plan (rate increasing for 25-26 school year)
+ Earned Paid Leave (EPL) provisions as per Maine law
