Job Summary

We’re hiring a

Data Operations Specialist to help manage and scale the infrastructure that powers WageScape’s data engine. You’ll be responsible for operating and optimizing our data pipelines, ensuring high availability, performance, and integrity across our cloud environment. This is a full-time hybrid position with in-person collaboration just once every two weeks in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.


You’ll also contribute to product development by bringing an operational perspective to new capabilities and technologies.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operate and maintain data workflows for ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and delivery
  • Monitor system performance, data quality, and pipeline reliability across AWS infrastructure
  • Configure and support API-based services used for internal tools and client platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and thoroughly, focusing on root cause analysis
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for 24/7 operational visibility
  • Continuously improve workflows through automation and process optimization
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems, configurations, and incident responses
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support new features and enhancements
  • Learn and adopt new platforms and tools as capabilities expand
  • Bonus: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other multi-cloud environments


Tech Stack


  • AWS: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Elasticache
  • REST APIs for data services
  • Monitoring and observability tools
  • Multi-cloud readiness (GCP experience is a plus)


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in data operations, analytics engineering, or cloud infrastructure support
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS services supporting data workflows
  • Familiarity with API performance, uptime monitoring, and alerting best practices
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills
  • Independent, proactive mindset; thrives in a remote-first environment
  • Located in the Twin Cities metro area with availability for biweekly in-person meetings
  • Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms is a plus
