Data Center Support Technician

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing data center equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, electrical systems, and the ability to work with various tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data center equipment, including servers, networking devices, and power systems.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
  
• Install, configure, and manage network devices including Cisco routers and Juniper equipment.
  
• Monitor data center operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  
• Utilize power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
  
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and CCTV installations to ensure functionality and security.
  
• Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory management.
  

• Proficient in NEC standards related to electrical systems.
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in equipment repair within a data center environment.
  
• Familiarity with networking technologies including Cisco routers and Juniper devices.
  
• Ability to use various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  
• Knowledge of CCTV systems for monitoring purposes is a plus.
  
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
  
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $23.40 - $32.00 per hour
