Dance Instructor

8 Count Dance AZ is dedicated to providing dance & tumbling instruction in a positive learning environment that will encourage creativity and self esteem. Each student will not only learn dance/tumbling technique, but valuable lessons that they can carry with them throughout life.

Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping each student achieve their personal best, whether they're dancing for recreation or competing as a member of our award-winning Ruby Dance Co. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance/Acro Instructor proficient in Jazz, Hip Hop, and/or Acro to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and guiding students of various skill levels in mastering techniques and routines.

• Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to students of different ages and skill levels, focusing on Jazz, Hip Hop, and/or Acro techniques.
  

• Teach and demonstrate proper dance techniques, including body alignment, movement dynamics, and musicality.
  

• Choreograph routines for performances & recitals
  

• Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to students to help them improve their skills and reach their full potential.
  

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and empowered to express themselves through dance.
  

• Collaborate with other dance instructors and staff members to coordinate class schedules, rehearsals, and events.
  

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding class schedules, progress reports, and performance opportunities.
  

• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classes and rehearsals, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
  

• Previous experience as a Dance/Acro Teacher or Instructor, with expertise in teaching Jazz, Hip Hop, and/or Acro.
  

• Strong proficiency in choreography, dance technique, and performance skills in Jazz and Hip Hop styles.
  

• Previous experience as an Acro instructor with a solid understanding of technique & safety. (Any form of Acro certification preferred but not required).
  

• Fingerprint Clearance Card through AZ DPS (
• Required)
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and backgrounds.
  

• Ability to adapt teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  

• CPR and first aid certification (
• preferred).
  

• Passion for dance education and fostering creativity
