We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing various areas within the facility.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing floors to ensure they are well-maintained.
- Assist with porter duties by managing waste disposal and ensuring common areas are tidy.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall cleanliness and functionality.
- Engage in industrial cleaning processes for larger equipment or areas requiring specialized attention.
- Support residential painting projects when necessary to enhance the appearance of the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
