About This Role:


The role of Clinical Services Caseworker, Therapist II, is central to the treatment work within the CORP team and will serve both the East and West side of the county. In this position you will deliver evidence-based interventions in group and individual settings to address a broad range of challenges, including substance use histories, serious mental illness, and the impacts of trauma, poverty, and social stressors. You will be expected to carry a caseload of 30-40 clients who deserve excellent treatment services. You will need to collaborate on behalf of the client with community partners, law enforcement agencies, medical providers, and social service agencies to support improved outcomes. You will also have access to complimentary onsite licensure supervision, professional development opportunities, paid training leave and enthusiastic colleagues.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Master�s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field.
  • Currently possess an LCSW or LPC in the Commonwealth of Virginia or are eligible to be licensed in Virginia.
  • 1-2 years of experience providing evidence-based individual/group therapy services in a human services environment to substance using and/or co-occurring clients in the pre-contemplative and contemplative stages of change.


Preferences:


  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English and Spanish.
  • Competent in using DSM 5 for assessment and diagnosis of conditions requiring treatment
  • Experience developing individualized treatment plans based on a client�s presenting needs and preferences.
  • Experience managing crisis situations.
  • Experience connecting clients to resources in the community.
  • Experience with recovery support in a harm-reduction model.
  • Training in harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and stages of change theory.
  • Experience keeping clinical documentation in an electronic health record.


Special Requirements:


  • Must possess a valid driver�s license
  • Must pass DMV record check
  • Must pass TB test
  • Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check
  • Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglect maintained by the Department of Social Services.


Work Schedule: FLSA Exempt, standard is Monday - Friday with at least 1 evening per week


Starting Salary Range: $$76,069.50 - $104,676.00


This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2,500 is payable upon the County’s first regular pay date following your position start and the final $2,500 installment will be payable on the pay date following the completion of probationary period.
