HealthNet Aeromedical Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit shared service of Cabell Huntington Hospital/Marshall Health Network, Charleston Area Medical Center/Vandalia Health, and WVU Medicine.
In 1986, a group of West Virginia healthcare leaders met and created a vision for a safe, high-quality, technologically advanced not-for-profit critical care transport system. From that vision, HealthNet Aeromedical Services was born.
From humble beginnings with two medical helicopters, HealthNet Aeromedical Services has grown into a nationally recognized industry leader. With ten aircraft flying from eight strategically located flight bases and more than ambulances serving six HealthTeam Critical Care Transport base locations across the state, the program is well-positioned to serve the entirety of Central Appalachia and beyond.
HealthNet Aeromedical Services can look back with pride on nearly 40 years of service and over 120,000 patients safely cared for.
