We are seeking a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team. As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and packages to their designated locations. This is a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers
- Load and unload goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment as needed
- Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documentation
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles including box trucks, tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading goods
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment for loading/unloading is a plus
