This position is primarily remote with the option of working in one of our physical showrooms. Travel may be required 4-8 times per year.

Salary of $105,000-120,000 plus bonus and a robust benefits package including healthcare with vision and dental, retirement, and paid time off.

8 Locations Supported: Showrooms in Northern CA, Southern CA, and Las Vegas

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to oversee financial and accounting operations, as well as provide key support in human resources administration. In this dual-role position, the Controller will primarily manage all aspects of accounting, budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting, while also contributing to HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. What You'll Do:

• Lead & Inspire: Supervise and mentor a team of 4-6 accounting and support staff.
  
• Strategize & Achieve: Partner with department heads to improve budgeting, cost control, and performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  
• Finance and Accounting:
  
• + Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
  

+ Manage the month- and year-end closing processes and lead budgeting and forecasting activities.

+ Oversee insurance relationships and renewals.

+ Oversee cash flow management and relationships with banking and audit professionals.

• Human Resources:
  
• + Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  

+ Assist with benefits administration - insurance, retirement, and open enrollment.

+ Assist in maintaining employee records in accordance with labor laws and company policies.

+ Work with leadership on compensation reviews, HR policies, and workforce planning

You could be a perfect fit if you have:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field, as well as 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a controller or assistant controller role.
  
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
  
• HR Knowledge: Previous experience in supporting HR/payroll and familiarity with payroll and HR platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or Bamboo HR.
  
• Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  
• Confidentiality: The ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
