Position Summary:


MarshBerry is currently seeking a

Contract Administrator for our Beachwood, OH office. The Contract Administrator will work within our legal team to manage the life cycle of contracts within the company, from preparation and revisions to execution, monitoring, and termination. The Contract Administrator will collaborate with our business, legal, finance, and operational support colleagues to ensure that our contracts align with our company goals, minimize risks, and adhere to regulatory and budgetary requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the complete life cycle of company�s client and vendor contracts from initial contract preparation and drafting, through execution, renewals, and termination.
  • Coordinate with our business, legal, finance, and operational support colleagues to ensure contracts align with the company�s strategic business goals and mitigate risks to the company.
  • Prepare initial drafts of contracts, serve as initial reviewer on revisions, seek input and approval from appropriate internal stakeholders, and facilitate executions by all parties.
  • Lead, implement, and support firm-wide contract management system(s) to enhance decision support and minimize business risks and time to execution.
  • Implement and support company-wide contracting policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and advise colleagues on pre-approved contract templates and forms.
  • Maintain document version controls and organized recordkeeping.
  • Track relevant contract milestones, renewal dates, terminations, and other metrics and timely advise affected internal stakeholders.
  • As needed, lead or assist with contract negotiations between the company and external vendors.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients, partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.
  • Protect confidentiality of proprietary information and all internal and external communications.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.


Selection Criteria


Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor�s degree in business administration, legal studies, English, communications, or similar field. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the Bachelor�s degree.
  • One to three years of relevant experience as a contract administrator, program manager, copy editor, paralegal, or similar role.
  • Master�s degree, law degree, or paralegal certification is a plus.


Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meticulous attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to spot errors and changes quickly.
  • Working understanding of contract components and legal terminology.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, including editing functionality, required.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (�CLMâ€) systems or document management systems preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and timely complete projects and assignments, exercise independent judgement, and be proactive in seeking resolutions.
  • Strong moral and ethical fortitude, prescribing to the values, standards, and policies of MarshBerry.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and be accountable for actions and conduct.
  • Positive and professional, able to show consideration for and maintain good working relations with peers, remain open to others� ideas, and exhibit a willingness to try new things.
