The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
  
• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  

Since 1898, AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the world’s most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project, from master-planning, preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making, to design review, estimating, and scheduling, through procurement, construction and occupancy. AECOM Tishman’s staff manages all consultants and contractors on a project, representing client interests throughout the project cycle. In total, AECOM Tishman has built more than 900 million square feet - including the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center in New York.

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor�s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
  
• Candidates must have completed 2 years of study in their program.
  

• Experience working for a large general contractor.
  
• Previous relevant internship experience.
  
• Exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
  
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
  

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  
• Relocation assistance may be available for this position.
  
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $21.91/hour - $30.12/hour.
