Key Responsibilities
Backbone Facilitation
Serve as the ‘backbone staff’ for community school initiatives which build on the excellent work that has been done to date by ensuring newly launched strategies are well aligned, monitored for impact, and build involvement from partners.
Engage government agencies, post-secondary programs, service providers, school districts, universities, data partners, community members, and any other relevant partners in moving toward system change through meaningful action.
Ensure the partnership develops d accountability to community-level outcomes and measures impact both at the program level and the community level.
Strategy Development and Implementation
Using the Results-Based Action Cycle, monitor strategies for impact tracking both outputs and outcomes.
Develop and communicate strategic plans that concisely communicate the mission, vision, objectives, and activities of the d work under the Community School Strategy.
Work alongside research and evaluation partners to develop and implement data-driven processes and systems to inform the work.
Project Management
Follow up regularly with partners to ensure actions are completed between meetings.
Create and use process maps, flowcharts, logic models and/or other tools to ensure effective and efficient execution of the strategies/interventions developed by the partnership.
Ensure the partnership and working groups create specific performance measures for their interventions/strategies and activities to demonstrate their impact.
Prepare and deliver one-page-style briefings to UWNU Leadership and community partners
Conduct needs assessment and gap analyses to inform the progress of the work
Other Duties
Attend and participate in other local, regional, and state level meetings as requested such as the Utah Coalition for Community Schools.
Actively participate in work related to grant writing, fundraising, and sustainability of the initiative with corporate, foundation, and government representatives, as well as individual donors. Within the first 6 months, create a fundraising plan for the community schools work.
Execute grants to fidelity and lead reporting processes for grants with internal and external partners
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent related work experience (e.g. public health, education, social sciences, human services, etc.)2 years project management experience
Demonstrated experience with public speaking in both large and small audiences
Familiarity with Results Based Accountability (RBA)Experience in meeting facilitation, especially in guiding diverse groups toward actionable, measurable outcomes.
Previous work as a Community School Coordinator
Bicultural/bilingual English/Spanish
Master’s degree in a related field3-5 years working in related field
Experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects
Experience supervising teams or volunteers
Familiarity and history of service within the landscape of community development and social services networks in Ogden
