The Community Resilience Program Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Community Resilience team. This position sits at the intersection of engaging communities and ensuring that the work of the Office of Community Health and Safety (OCHS) is informed by community needs and the provision of support related to trauma that occurs in communities throughout the City.
The successful incumbent will possess expertise pertaining to developing, implementing, and facilitating community-based events and training opportunities that are trauma-informed and alignment with the principles of harm-reduction. This role focuses on equipping city residents with knowledge and skills to educate and empower their communities in a supportive, low-barrier environment and will do so in collaboration with the other programs throughout the Office of Community Health & Safety. The Community Resilience Program Manager will oversee all community engagement requests, coordinate event logistics, ensure proper staffing and materials, and provide provisional approval on OCHS-branded resources, including event flyers, social media postings, digital presentations, and the staff associated with these tasks.
They will also possess the clinical knowledge that will enable the incumbent to understand and implement, personally and via the supervision of staff, direct support to individuals who experience intimate partner violence, other categories of violent crime, and instances of trauma and grief.
