Altman Management Company is a long-established Property Management Company seeking an experienced, proactive Community Manager to manage beautiful, historic properties along Philadelphia's Main Line. The Community Manager is responsible for marketing, administering, obtaining, and maintaining leases of apartment units. The Community Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager, and has a Leasing Consultant and Maintenance staff reporting directly to them.
¨ Review delinquencies, send late notices to residents and, if warranted, file delinquent accounts with the local Magistrate timely; send collection accounts to FCO and write off balances as needed
¨ Report any work injuries immediately to the Workers’ Compensation insurance company and Human Resources immediately; report any near misses to Human Resources immediately; conduct and submit investigation reports into accidents and injuries immediately after an incident
¨ Manage and resolve resident complaints and concerns timely
¨ Shop competition regularly, and be familiar with the local rental market
¨ Manage service orders and assign them to the Maintenance staff timely; ensure that all service orders are completed promptly and efficiently
¨ Review and approve employee timecards per the payroll schedule
¨ Communicate promptly with the Regional Manager and Human Resources regarding any staff issues and collaborate with Regional Manager and/or HR on resolution
¨ Manage the onboarding of all new employees at the site
¨ Prepare work schedules; conduct performance evaluations
¨ Prepare for, track, and manage all Life Safety Inspections and all City or Township inspections
¨ Create Resident Newsletters to regularly provide information as well as build a community atmosphere
¨ Maintain a clean, efficient, inviting environment throughout the property
¨ Maintain all financial records for the property, working with the accounting and Accounts Payable teams
¨ Proficiency in English
¨ At least three years’ experience as a property manager or 5+ years as a leasing agent
¨ Knowledge and proficiency with Yardi
¨ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
¨ Excellent communication and customer service skills
