At Mersen, the CNC machinist is responsible for the programming and operation of CNC machinery during the fabrication of various sizes and types of chemical equipment. This individual uses their knowledge of computer numerical control systems and manufacturing to set-up, program and operate CNC machinery.

• Ensure compliance with all Mersen safety initiatives.
  
• Translate blueprints and technical drawings into CNC programs.
  
• Writing and testing CNC programs for various machines such as:
  

• Operate various CNC machines across multiple material types including:
  

• Utilize problem solving tools to address non-conformities and improve productivity.
  
• Communicate with supervisors and engineering to optimize manufacturing processes.
  
• Develop and implement various tools and fixtures as required to support CNC machining of parts and materials.
  
• Inspect finished parts to ensure products meet Mersen and/or customer quality standards.

• Education: Secondary education / High school diploma / On-the-job training
  
• Professional experience required: < 3 years

• IT tools and applications
  
• Uses control methods
  
• Masters the manufacturing processes in his/her sector
  
• Is able to read and use blueprints
