SUMMARY The CNC Machinist II is responsible for all scheduled parts assigned to them to be completed per the drawing(s) and by the scheduled due date in all cells. Responsible to machine acceptable production parts utilizing production equipment per drawing, DHR, and any other ancillary written instructions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Adhere to the Company�s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Swiss screw machine lathes according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
  • Set all tools, coolant lines, collets, and guide bushings.
  • Understand CNC programming and can make changes as needed to optimize a process.
  • Observes the operation of machines and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as gages, calipers, micrometers, comparator, and tool makers.
  • Understand and perform all work instructions.
  • Participates in on-the-job training of the Cell Operators and Cell Operator Trainees.


. Accurately enter all information requested into MRP/ERP system. . Performs special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience.

In such cases, proper Personal Equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided
