We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Blakey Hall Retirement Community in Elon. This role is essential in supporting our residents' daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and enhancing their quality of life. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in upholding our mission of dignity and respect for all community members.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote interaction and well-being.
- Document care provided accurately in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure holistic care for all residents.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care or caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards elderly individuals.
- Basic knowledge of medical documentation practices is a plus.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
