- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily activities and ensuring comfort and safety.
- Conduct medical assessments and document patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
- Assist in medical-surgical procedures as required, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Support behavioral health initiatives by recognizing signs of mental health issues and providing appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Proven experience in patient care settings, with knowledge of critical care practices preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
- Experience in long-term care facilities or medical-surgical units is highly desirable.
- Understanding of anatomy and caregiving principles to provide effective support across various specialties, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times.
