Clinician II - Medicare

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm and Thursday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm.

Pay Rate: $42.75 to $45.00 per hour

Education: Master's degree in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required

Licensure: Licensed as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or as a Psychologist with the Board of Psychology required

As a Clinician II - Medicare, you will:

• Conduct initial behavioral assessments of new clients and reassessment for current clients.
  
• Provide behavioral health services to clients.
  
• Assist clients in developing client service plans goals and in prioritizing areas of need and steps needed to reach goal established.
  
• Depending upon needs of the business and clients, may be expected to provide telehealth services
  
• Document all services provided and maintain documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years of direct work experience in behavioral health or community-based social services program
  
• Must meet all California requirements to bill for Medicare services
  
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
  
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  
• Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

South Bay Guidance Center is one of our Adult Outpatient programs (AOP), that provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.

All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
