ABOUT US:


The Fogarty Center is a private, non-profit agency that provides a variety of services and supports to children and adults with intellectual, developmental, and/or other disabilities.


JOB PURPOSE:


The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical services provided to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role ensures that services are person-centered, compliant with regulatory standards, and delivered with clinical integrity. The Clinical Supervisor supports direct care staff and clinicians by providing clinical guidance, conducting assessments, and developing treatment and behavior support plans.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


· Provide clinical supervision and support to a team of treatment consultants, coordinators and direct support professionals working with individuals with IDD


· Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment and behavior support plans


· Conduct clinical assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and risk assessments as needed


· Monitor service delivery for quality, compliance, and adherence to best practices


· Provide regular individual and group supervision in accordance with licensure and agency requirements


· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including case managers, families, educators, and medical professionals


· Ensure documentation meets Medicaid, state, and accreditation standards


· Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff


· Maintain current knowledge of state regulations, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends in IDD services


· Serve as a clinical liaison for children and families at school and other outpatient treatment provisions of care


· Promote trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-centered care


· Provide inclusive treatment to a diverse population of families and children


· Attend to clinical needs of children and families


· Instruct direct service workers on proper implementation of treatment interventions through direct training, observation and ongoing clinical intervention discussions


· Ensure accurate data collection from DSPs to monitor progress and treatment efficacy and use data to adjust plans as necessary


· Provide direction for emergency situations


· Review treatment approaches to effective methods of responding to challenging behaviors


· Provide child-specific orientation and other appropriate educational training for direct service workers


· Provide written documentation of all services provided


· Adhere to all Policies and Procedures set forth by The Fogarty Center

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master�s Degree in the clinical field
  • Licensed by Rhode Island Department of Health:
  • LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, BCBA, LMHC, or Psychologist
  • Minimum of two (2) years working with individuals with special health care needs.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental disabilities, behavior interventions, and person-centered planning.
