Position Summary: Our Clinic Radiology Technologist, works in a fast paced and high-volume orthopedic clinic. This person is responsible for friendly and positive interactions with our patients, while obtaining quality diagnostic x-rays in accordance with our physician's orders.

Position Requirements


Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved radiologic technology school -required.


Licensure:


  • ARRT (R) -required.
  • Nebraska state Medical Radiographer license -required.
  • Iowa State Medical Radiographer license -required.


Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) -required.


Experience: 1+ year of experience in a clinic and/or hospital imaging department -preferred.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Performs quality x-rays in an orthopedic clinic setting.
  • Responsible for quality control of images taken, and able to adjust positioning and technical parameters to get required anatomy for optimal results.
  • Assess patient's abilities to comply with the physical requirements of the exam, then effectively communicate with the patient to complete the exam in a timely manner.


Ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, management and fellow team members in an efficient and professional manner.



Essential Job Functions


  • Responsible for the accurate and safe operation using the principles of ALARA.
  • Responsible for obtaining quality, diagnostic images in accordance with individual physician protocols.
  • Positive and friendly interactions with patients and families of all age groups.
  • Participate in annual performance improvement education.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, in team and individual settings.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.


Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
