Southern Maine Veterinary Care is looking to add a compassionate and skilled veterinary receptionist to our team. Previous experience is preferred with the potential for growth and the possibility of promotion to a lead CSR position. We have a sign on bonus opportunity up to $1000.00 based on previous veterinary reception experience. Enjoy a 4 day work week with no nights or weekends!!!!!

Client Service Representative

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Answers telephone calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system
  
• Warmly greets clients
  
• Preparing patient files
  
• Receives and relays client correspondence and updates client financial records
  
• Answers client�s inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures
  
• Educates clients on over-the-counter products such as flea and tick preventions
  
• Admits patients and handles medical records entries accurately
  
• Prepares client invoices for services performed
  
• Handles payment transactions
  
• Receives and relays telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly
  
• Assists with basic restraint and animal handling in the exam room

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Previous experience working in the veterinary or animal care field
  
• Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
  
• Must be reliable and punctual
  
• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people
  
• The ability to handle stressful situations with grace, compassion and professionalism
  
• Understands different communication styles and modifies their behavior accordingly
  
• Solutions-based, able to handle conflict respectfully and maintain composure amidst busy and constantly changing circumstances
