Classroom Floater

Smart Start Academy is dedicated to providing the best environment for learning and creativity for each student. Our full-day programs have a curriculum designed to meet every learning style in a way that nurtures every aspect of a child - the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social.

The Classroom Floater serves as a co-pilot to the Teacher and Teacher Assistant. They are responsible for keeping bulletin boards up to date, training all new assistants, and assisting with various aspects of the lesson plan.

• As a floater, you will be rotating between different classrooms, assisting Teachers and Teacher Assistants as needed. You will gain experience working with all age groups.
  
• Responsible for relating well to parents, children, and staff members.
  
• Complete chores related to cleaning and laundry while adhering to hygiene standards.
  
• Ability to lift children multiple times and sit on the floor for feeding them.
  
• Flexibility to work around school timings, Monday to Friday, between 6:30 AM and 7:30 PM.
  
• Floaters will be relocated to different Smart Start Academy locations throughout their employment and will not be assigned to a single location for the duration of their time with us.
  

• High School Diploma or GED required. Flexibility for scheduling is essential.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Passion for helping children unlock their potential.
  
• Experience in a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
  
• Must communicate effectively, have an energetic personality, and be functionally literate in English.
  
• Strong attendance, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as requested.
