Summary/objective


Texarkana Tractor Company manages thirteen dealerships, comprising ten Kubota dealerships and three New Holland dealerships throughout east Texas and central Arkansas. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least two years of tractor-trailer driver experience with a CDL license. The candidate must have reliable transportation, an unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record, and be available to work Saturdays as needed. Equipment loading experience and DOT securement knowledge are required.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the safety of crew members, fellow employees, and the public while operating company vehicles and or supervising or performing any company equipment
  • Complete deliveries specified by haul schedule and obtain signed release at every delivery location. Work with facilities to find equipment before picking up for more efficient and timelier pick-up and delivery
  • Inspects truck for defects per AR/TX DOT/Federal Motor Carrier regulations
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading areas on and around congested heavy construction and roads.
  • Complete daily trip log via ELD software and follow company reporting policies
  • Perform all duties per company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of the company's commercial motor vehicle.
  • Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions, or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to loading or delivery of equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No


Work Environment


Occasionally travel to job sites or training, work in both outside and inside environments. At times, temperatures may be below 30 degrees or may exceed 90 degrees. Occasionally (< 25 % of the time). There may be intermittent exposure to vibration and noises over 85 dB, as well as exposure to non-toxic fumes, grease, oils, and gases.


Physical Demands


Work involves repetitive work of a mechanical nature with regular, 50-100% of the time will require bending, stooping, and standing, including the need to move and lift heavy objects weighing 50lbs to 100lbs.


Required education and experience


  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Class A/CDL License
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Familiar with all FMCSA rules and regulations in the operation of a CMV
  • 2 years of CDL experience
  • Experience driving tractors, mowers, side-by-side and forklifts


Preferred education and experience


  • Flatbed and equipment haul experience such as hot shot, one-ton truck, and trailer
