Childcare Assistant Teacher

Hiring for all teaching positions-

• Implement curriculum for groups of students
  
• Provide assistance in designing and imparting lessons catering to each student�s individual abilities
  
• Help children in feeding and changing diapers
  
• Plan long and short term activities to engage children throughout the course of the day
  
• Encourage children to take part in class and recreational activities
  
• Observe and monitor children to ensure that they are comfortable and intervene following signs of distress
  
• Maintain positive and open communication pathways with parents, guardians, and families.
  
• Maintain accurate health and safety records to comply with company and state requirements.
  
• Ascertain that classroom environment is in accordance to program goals and philosophies
  
• Perform research activities to develop educational materials to aid classroom instruction
  
• Assist older children in partaking their meals and using the facilities
  
• Ascertain the physical and emotional comfort of wards by providing them a safe environment
  
• Organize entertainment classes such as fine arts, music and dance lessons and encourage students to participate
  
• Coordinate with child care center office to procure classroom supplies and educational equipment
  
• Handle cleaning and maintenance activities of the classroom and ensure that any hazardous materials are discarded before children arrive
  
• Handle emergencies by employing knowledge of First Aid and CPR
  

Mandatory Certificates to complete prior to employment:

• Background check & Fingerprinting through Department of Early Learning
  

• TB test
  

• Infant & Child First Aid/CPR (Hands On)
  

• Bloodborne pathogens
  

• Food Handlers Permit
  

• Safe Sleep Training
  

• Mandated Reporter Training
  

• Abusive Head Trauma Training
  

• Medication Management Training
  

• Proof of MMR Vaccination
  

• Ability to complete 30 hour Child Care Basics Training within the first 90 days of employment
