Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

The Home Health Aide plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to patients in their homes. This position involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients while maintaining their dignity and independence.

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  
• Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
  
• Assist with catheter care and ensure proper hygiene practices are followed.
  
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences of the patient.
  
• Engage patients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function and emotional well-being.
  
• Maintain accurate medical records and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
  
• Support patients with mobility and transportation needs within the home environment.
  
• Foster a positive relationship with patients and their families, offering emotional support as needed.
  

• Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and medical terminology.
  
• Proficient in catheter care and basic medical procedures related to home health.
  
• Excellent observation skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
  
• Ability to cook healthy meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  
• Experience in memory care practices is preferred but not required.
  
• Familiarity with maintaining medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
