Central Supply Clerk

Central Supply Clerk Opportunity:

The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operation of an institutional storeroom under the administrative control and guidance of the Accounting Manager. This position is expected to work free from direct supervision and to be able to handle and respond to normal problems and questions that arise during daily operation.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this role is $17.00 - $18.51, based on experience.
  
• Hours for this role are typically 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday.
  
• This is a full-time, on-site position.

What Qualifies You:

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
  
• More than one year experience in institutional or large-scale storekeeping
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Attention to detail
  
• Good organizational skills
  
• Great customer service
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred experience in a healthcare setting.
  
• More than 2 years� experience related to stocking and delivery of medical supplies.
  

Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

What a Central Supply Clerk does at NCHC:

• Maintains regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  
• Receive vendor deliveries, checking merchandise against purchase order for accuracy and completing correct paperwork neatly and accurately.
  
• Fill and deliver purchase requests and backorders to requisitioning departments.
  
• Check files for overdue orders and back orders, then follow-up with Purchasing Agent.
  
• Handling of dietary food supplies, including receipt of vendor delivery, storage of perishables in refrigeration or freezer units, loading, and distribution of food carts. Also, included is notifying the dietary supervisor of any discrepancy on an order.
  
• Responsible for overall condition of the storeroom for cleanliness.
  
• Able to perform delivery duties for Nursing Home Health Unit Purchasing Agent as needed.
