Catering Barista

We are a mobile coffee catering company specializing in serving bulk coffee to groups around the Columbia, SC area. We've got extensive experience in the beverage catering industry. Our menu is limited to focus on our ability to serve large groups quickly while we also maintain the freshest coffee possible for these type of events. This also means a simpler service for us and our staff in a world of sometimes complicated menus.

We are seeking experienced Barista's to join our team. We have positions available for serving the coffee on site at our bookings and also earlier AM positions for prepping coffee for the bookings. You are welcome to do both but offering both gives extra flexibility given the early hours.

As a Catering Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

In the prep role, you will arrive significantly earlier than our booked times to begin preparing product to ensure enough is ready and it is as fresh as possible. You will pack up our vehicles for transportation and help get our team out the door and on the way to the booking.

• Prepare/ Serve a limited menu of coffee beverages while staying focused on speed-of-service and quality of product.
  
• Operate the Square POS systems for order taking and payment processing.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mobile catering area, including beverage dispensers, prep area, and serving stations.
  
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  
• Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
  
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain compliance with health regulations.
  
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during.
  

• Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.
  
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
  
• Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
  
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers.
  
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  
• Experience using the square POS system is advantageous but not required.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
