Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Duties:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Scan and process items accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Handle lottery/lotto transactions
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of retail sales principles is a plus
- Must stand/walk for long periods of times
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. over your head.
