Carpenter

SERVPRO of Bloomington/Pontiac, a nationally branded company specializing in the Restoration & Construction industry, is hiring an experienced Carpenter.

The Carpenter is responsible for collaborating with the project manager to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, laminate, siding, and framing materials. Carpenters must have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. By providing quality, consistent, and efficient work, the Carpenter represents the best in the reconstruction industry.

• Perform a wide range of carpentry work including, but not limited to:
  
• Building frameworks and structural framing
  
• Installing siding and gutters
  
• Hanging cabinets
  
• Painting
  
• Installing flooring, countertops, windows, and doors
  
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
  
• Report to the Project Manager daily
  
• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment required for carpentry work
  
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  
• Prepare work areas to protect private property while working in customers' homes
  
• Inventory and load the work vehicle with all necessary equipment, products, and supplies for each project
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle
  

• High school diploma or GED
  
• 5+ years of carpentry experience
  
• Experience with siding, gutters, and framing strongly preferred
  
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and prioritization skills
  
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling or higher elevations, navigate tight spaces, and sit/stand for extended periods
  
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
