Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires effective leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.


Responsibilities


  • Manage all aspects of café operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Supervise and train café staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards and company policies.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and consistency.
  • Handle cash management and POS operations, including Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires, focusing on culinary skills, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage waste effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all food handling practices.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership.
  • Collaborate with upper management on budgeting, menu planning, and promotional activities.


Experience


  • Proven experience in restaurant or café management with a strong understanding of the food industry.
  • Background in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with kitchen management practices including food production, catering, and banquet services.
  • Experience with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, staff training, and development.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
