Buyer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services, ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement management, contract negotiation, and supply chain logistics to meet the needs of our manufacturing operations.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  
• Manage the sourcing process, including identifying potential suppliers, conducting market research, and evaluating supplier capabilities.
  
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing while ensuring compliance.
  
• Oversee supplier management activities, including performance evaluations, quality management, and root cause analysis for any issues that arise.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in logistics, production planning, and materials management to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  
• Conduct category management to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved supplier relationships.
  
• Monitor market trends to inform pricing strategies and ensure competitive sourcing decisions.
  

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  
• Experience in the Food Industry preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and logistics operations.
  
• Familiarity with contract management processes and negotiation techniques is essential.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop actionable insights.
  
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  
• BBA or BS
  
• Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  
• Able to travel to audit supplier and manufacturing facilities.
  

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,500.00 - $47,500.00 per year
