Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the development of Remediation Analysis Documentation (RADs) for retained Edge systems and third-party services, including:
  • A Word document summarizing the application, its business purpose, and current integrations with Phoenix.
  • A Visio diagram illustrating current-state integration flows.
  • An Excel workbook detailing field-level data and integration specifics.
  • Collaborate with business and technical SMEs from Edge teams to validate current-state documentation and confirm system disposition (Retain or Replace).
  • Participate in future-state validation workshops to:
  • Understand how Edge systems will integrate with SAP (PegaCIS).
  • Identify change impacts for internal users and external customers.
  • Capture gaps where SAP�s out-of-the-box functionality does not meet business needs, requiring configuration or customization.
  • Develop future-state documentation for Edge teams and third-party vendors, including:
  • Functional requirements and interface specifications.
  • Testing scenarios and data conversion details.
  • Training considerations, reporting needs, and configuration guidance.
  • RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) tracking.
  • Updated future-state integration diagrams.
  • Review and contribute to Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs) related to Interface (I) objects in the SAP RICEFW framework.
  • Serve as a liaison between Edge developers, Third-Party technical teams, and the CustMod program (SRP and System Integrator) to ensure alignment on interface design and delivery.
  • Support testing and deployment activities to ensure successful integration of Edge and third-party systems with SAP at go-live.


Integration Expertise


  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of integration types, including:
  • API-based integrations (REST, SOAP)
  • TIBCO middleware and messaging services
  • Direct database queries
  • File-based exchanges (CSV, XML, flat files)
  • Understand how these integration methods currently connect Edge systems to Phoenix and how they will be rebuilt using SAP BTP middleware.
  • Collaborate with SRP developers and Cognizant�s SAP implementation team to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with SAP integration architecture.
  • Participate in the 4-sprint development cycle (July 7, 2025 - March 31, 2026), supporting interface design, documentation, and validation.


Vendor Management


  • Serve as the lead responsible for developing Statements of Work (SOWs) for third-party vendors supporting CustMod.
  • Work directly with vendor contacts to define the scope of work, level of effort, deliverables, and deadlines across design, development, testing, conversion, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with SRP�s procurement and legal teams to draft, refine, and finalize SOWs that align with program timelines and technical requirements.
  • Ensure vendor responsibilities are clearly documented and integrated into the broader CustMod delivery framework.


Qualifications (Required)


  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the utilities / energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, interface design, and data mapping.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to speak both technical and business languages, translating requirements and impacts across stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfortable working within a structured IT organization and navigating multi-vendor environments.


Qualifications (Preferred)


  • Experience with SAP for Utilities (S/4 and V2), particularly in large-scale CIS implementations or migrations.
  • Familiarity with legacy-to-modern transitions, especially involving Edge or third-party systems.
  • Experience working with RICEFW objects, especially Interface (I) types.
  • Education: Bachelor�s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
